Golf Architect: Tom Doak, Renaissance Golf Design (2014)

In 2012 and 2013, Benjamin was a construction intern on the team which was painstakingly building Renaissance Golf Design’s cool and quirky Grand St. Émilionnais Golf Club in France. He was running heavy machinery from day one, and critically, was introduced to the minimalist design & build methodology which is practiced to incredible effect by Tom Doak’s firm.

The list of former Renaissance Golf Design construction interns is a who’s who of the present and future of golf architecture. There’s no better environment in which to learn about the art of building golf courses. It was an honor to work with the Renaissance team.
